Surface to Air Architects are known for design excellence in across a number of sectors including the education, consultancy and residential sectors. With a constantly growing team, we are working on a range of projects - offering both consultancy and design services in the UK with projects ranging from £2.5m to £100 million (construction value). The studio offers design quality, unique client interaction skills and excellent project delivery.
Recent high profile projects include the Global Academy in Hillingdon, built for the Global radio brand and we have recently won a bid to deliver a 150+ unit high-end residential scheme in North London.
Surface to Air Architects were shortlisted for the BCSE Adviser of the Year Awards 2012 as well as the Design and Excellence in SEN Provision Award 2011. We were awarded both a Civic Trust award and shortlisted for the RIBA Awards 2011. Surface to Air Architects have been featured in numerous architectural publications and exhibitions and were the cover story for Building Magazine in 2009 and 2006. Surface to Air Architects were also nominated for YAYA (Young Architect of the Year Award) 2010.
Surface to Air is an architectural studio founded by Holly Porter and Pascale Scheurer in 2004. Holly Porter is the Managing Director of the practice. Holly trained at Cambridge University and the Royal College of Art and set up practice after several years working on high profile, successful projects for award-winning KPF. In 2014 Heidi Moxon joined the practice as a Director.
Holly Porter - Founding Director of Surface to Air Architects, Holly studied architecture at Cambridge University (BA Hons, MA) and the Royal College of Art (MA). She lives and works in London.
Heidi Moxon - Heidi Moxon - Design Director of Surface to Air Architects, Heidi has a strong background of design expertise and client engagement. For the last 8 years Heidi has been specialising in education and more recently highend residential projects.
